ICIQ3 was hosted by the Spanish city of Granada, the birthplace of Judah ben Saul ibn Tibbon (1120 – c. 1190), known as the Father of Scientific Translation. His contributions were decisive for the dissemination of Classical Greek and Arabic science in Europe, thus helping to pave the way for the Renaissance.
