Quality in Interpreting and Nonverbal Aspects

María Manuela "Mariela" Fernández Sánchez is tenured professor of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada. She offers undergraduate courses in French-Spanish interpreting and in translation studies, as well as Master’s courses in conference interpreting and professional translation. She has also taught in a number of educational institutions in Spain and abroad, has worked as a freelance translator and interpreter and has spent several research stints in European and US-American universities. She is the author of various publications in the field of interpreter training and translation history.

Her current research focuses on contemporary translation history.
